Dante Burdych is a 12 year old with a mission in life. He and his father are planning the exciting and incredibly challenging expedition to the Base Camp of Mount Everest. The expedition sets off from Kathmandu on the 27th April 2012 and after climbing an additional 2460 meters above the starting level of 2640 m above sea level they hope to reach the Mount Everest base camp after 14 days.
This amazing attempt by a 12 year old boy accompanied by his father to reach the base camp of the highest mountain in the world is commendable, but this young man has decided to tackle this feat in the name of “Unite against Poaching”. He wants to focus attention on the horrendous slaughter of our rhino population and is tackling both these challenges head on.
